Long time lurker first time poster. I think Oppo will be a fun way to get to flex my writing muscles and share my passion for cars. Currently, my daily is 50k mile 1999 XJ , which, being a cranky and eccentric old beast should help provide me with plenty of material. Here’s a picture of her running free in a natural habitat.
I’m working on a review of what dailying a Cherokee is really like, I would love to share some of the things you would only notice from driving a vehicle every day, providing insight to those considering an XJ and maybe a little entertainment to those who already do.
I used to daily this 04 Saturn Vue, it was squeaky and bland, but I’m sure I could come up with some stuff to say about it.
I also funneled a bunch of money, sweat, and un-returned love into this 89 Comanche Eliminator. I turned wrenches on this while I daily-ed my trusty Vue, and as my automotive mistress, it was a strained relationship. I miss this hateful old thing, even Renix.
It will be great to get to know you guys, thanks for the authorship!

Since our dark overlord Kinja has taken from us the privilege of editing our comments, I’ll also add that you should check out Overland & Expedition .

I bought with 40k, but its my daily so miles are
climbing. But I couldn’t pass up owning such a sweet XJ, totally worth it.

I always enjoy reviews from normal people about seemingly mundane but special in their own way vehicles! So I will gladly read.

Always good to have another Jeep perspective. Having only lusted after XJs , not actually driven/owned one, will be good to hear from the other side.
Welcome!

That’s awesome, fun finding cars with mileage that is way lower than it should be.
Our JKU Rubicon that we just bought is 10 years old and only has 15k miles on it.

Welcome to Oppo! May your XJ be free of the rust cancer and avoid channeling David Tracy’s energy at the same time.

Welcome! Using your authorship to write about cars will be a nice departure from the norm around here.
Here’s my half-’95-half-’97 XJ I’ve owned for 16ish years. It’s a 215,000 mile total POS, and I’ll never part with it! I’d love to drive yours and compare it to my totally worn out lifted XJ. They really are nice to drive when they’re left alone!
I’d love to read more about how that XJ made it so long with so few miles!

That XJ is lovely and the color is spot-on.

Make sure you remember to make some shitposts and hot taeks in between actual well structured writing about cars. Otherwise people will start to suspect something fishy going on .
